Watch A Master At Work: Buy Denzel Washington Movies

By Denzel Smith

Denzel Washington movies find the well known actor showing his range in various rolls within his acting career, such as career criminal or police office or both, and he never ceases to be entertaining.

He was born Denzel Hayes Washington Jr. On December 28, 1954 in the city of Mount Vernon, NY. His mom worked as a beautician while his father was a preacher. He went to school for journalism, but caught the acting bug.

Appearing in a few minor roles for TV, he got his first big screen break acting alongside George Segal in the 1981 movie Carbon Copy. His true big break came, not from movies, but on television for the TV show, St Elsewhere. He was a regular member of the cast for six years, where he continued acting in movies such as The Mighty Quinn and For Queen and Country. These roles led to his next feature film in the movie Glory for which he won an Oscar, he would later win another Oscar for his portrayal of a bad cop in Training Day.

Very often his strongest roles are those in which he portrays real people. American Gangster, The Hurricane, and Remember the Titans were all movies based on real life. There are also those roles in which he is a man whose mind is tricking him, such as those in Fallen and Deja Vu.

A slew of movies featuring Denzel also show him as an authority figure, playing lead officers or military roles. In his roles for both Virtuosity and Crimson Tide, he was a lieutenant, but in He Got Game, Denzel was a good for nothing father briefly let out of prison, looking to ride the coattails of his basketball-playing son in exchange for a shorter prison sentence.

Denzel has been in a variety of films, giving performances that often outshine the box office results. Renting or buying Denzel Washington movies and having a marathon are not a bad way to experience a master at work. - 40726
