The Truth About Rocket Piano

By Matthew Childs

Gone are the days when learning how to play the piano was such a drag. My very own experience with learning to play the piano is one muddled in fear as I would always remember how my piano teacher used to carry a stick that she would use to tap all the keys that I had to hit. Now, the approach is so much different.

Ruth Searle is the creator of Rocket Piano which is a set of online piano lessons. Searle has always been a lover of fine music and is locally famous in her native New Zealand as a professional pianist.

Her love for music has allowed her to become the recipient of the Australasian Award. Able to play classical ensembles to rock music, Searle now wants to teach other to discover the gift of music.

Rocket Piano is so different from all the other online courses in that it uses a number of platforms to help teach students learn how to play the piano.

It provides three e-books as well as several other audio files so that the student gets to explore the lessons through reading and listening. One doesn't have to have a hard time with the books since all of them contain clear illustrations and instructions that are easy to follow.

What I really appreciate with Rocket Piano is the fact that it does not only include information that one has to take note of when playing the piano but also the mistakes that one ought to avoid.

The course being organized into novice, intermediate and pro levels are also set to make the learning more organized.

However, Rocket Piano also contains other platforms for learning for those who are neither into listening and reading. The course contains videos that carry step-by-step demonstrations of the lessons and principles included in learning how to play the piano.

These different media can be used separately or as combinations.

Finally, Rocket Piano has an interesting approach when it comes to learning. It also offers an assortment of games for those who want to play their way into learning how to make music.

A software included in the program is Jayde Music Pro. This game was designed to teach students how to read piano sheets only its taught the fun way. - 40726
