There are also studies that suggest continuing the music exposure while the child is growing up to further develop the brain and the IQ. These positive results can also be benefited by adults. When adults learn how to play an instrument, their mind became active and sharp. Even at their prime age, these adults who are still playing musical instruments and are musically inclined, still have sharper memories than most adults who are not musically inclined.

Learning music can be stressful if the student becomes frustrated easily but if the teacher offers plenty of positive reinforcement the child will respond better. Playing and listening to music can also have a positive effect upon relieving stress. Stress can readily cause a lot of disturbance in the life of a child but if the right approach is taken when learning to play or even sing music the child will respond better.

When the student, or child, works hard and strives to remain positive during the instrument and music learning process they will certainly feel the power pride and how it feels to succeed. When a child learns that they have something to be proud about they will strive to become the best at it. This is the best way for the child to do better in school because they know that when they succeed they have something to be proud of.

So, it would be a factual statement when wondering if music students do better in school compared to students who do not take music in their curriculum. The feeling of pride is a very powerful thing and learning music or an instrument will surely inhibit many successful ventures.
